Hello, my name is Hart Hoover Manager of Kubernetes Education at VMware. So what did we learn in this course? We learned the traditional definition of the three pillars of observability, metrics, logs, and open tracing aren't enough to get insight into your system. You need to combine Blackbox monitoring and Whitebox monitoring solutions with context and get true observability. Those three data pillars provide context into a system that your teams can use to diagnose problems and find bottlenecks in your system. We looked at several tools that exist to solve these problems, including Prometheus, Fluentbit, Fluentd, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and OpenTracing solutions like Jaeger.

Thank you for watching this course. I hope you learned a little bit about observability into your systems.
